Choose Your Colour
The first step is to choose what colour you would like to paint your house – think about the theme you would like to include in your home. It is essential that you contemplate your furniture, paintings and other decorations when you decide your paint colour so that the interior of your home is coordinated well. Think about the tone you would like to set for your home – would you like a warm feeling? Cooler tones? Once you narrow down the theme, you can search for colours in that group and go from there.
The next step is the gather the necessary tools to paint your home. Here is a list of what you will need:

Paintbrushes
Paint roller and paint roller extension
Painter tape
Tray
Sandpaper
Filling/Spackling
Wall Cleaner
Ladder
Putty Knife
Prep the Walls
Begin prepping the walls by using a wall cleanser to ensure that you will be painting on a clean canvas. Next use spackling to fill in any areas that you see are dented in the wall. You will need your putty knife to do so. Use sandpaper to smooth out any bumpy areas of the wall to ensure a clean look after you are finished painting.
Start Painting!
Now, we are onto the fun part! Remember to be careful and use a ladder when necessary. You should start from the ceiling and work your way down. Use painter tape to for areas that you wish to keep safe from the paint. For areas that are hard to reach – you can use your paint roller extension to reach it. Enjoy your newly painted home!
